First, I must note...don't mind the afro..my awesome personality made up for it in middle school. And we ALL look way different now....
In case any of you did not know: "hump day" is Wednesday because it means you're half way through the week, on a downward slide to the weekend...Also, as you all probably noticed, this week was a week from hell for me, no need to elaborate. So in the midst of trouble, what do you do? For me, I cling to my family. Family is definitely the biggest thing in my life, literally and figuratively. I am the fifth of seven kids; my mom is one of seven, and my grandparents are possibly the most fascinating people I know(p.s. Catholic, not Morman).
"James Warner has been humped by hump day...Thursday bring it on..." This was my number two brother's facebook status. Yes, he is fabulous...As for the status, I couldn't explain my thoughts about yesterday and today any better. So, it got me thinking. True, it is only natural to be upset when something of importance occurs, but what after that? Sitting here, I am typing and attempting to convince myself to pull my head out of my butt, and CHEER UP BUTTERCUP. I am so thankful for that attitude within my entire family. Makes life a lot easier when everyone around you can get humped but get over it, dwelling and fixating is stupid.
Also, second realization of the week...I considered myself a very up-beat positive person...until I met Cory. He is either A. On CRACK or B. Has the best outlook ever. That passion about ANY AND EVERYTHING is just contagious. Cory you are sitting behind me right now, and I just want to make myself be in a good mood ha.
So in times like this week, I am going to acknowledge that I got humped, rely on some family, and look forward to the next day, but live that next day as if I were Cory. What Would Cory Do? WWCD, we should make bracelets or name a wrestling federation after it.
Anyhow...how does this relate to international mass communication...hmmm, I can figure something to plug in that equation....Well if it weren't for social media like facebook, I wouldn't have my sweet title...
Keeping it classy, kicking it old school,
Margaret
Thanks Margaret!!!!! That might be the nicest thing anybody has ever said about me (: I'm not deserving of it, but thanks! Hope your week turns around!!!
ReplyDeleteYou were a baby, Margaret, but for some time Coca-Cola's slogan was that it was "the real thing."
ReplyDeleteFamily IS the real thing, and I'm glad you know it already!
As for Cory, I want to bottle his positive outlook, so I can give each one of us a spoonful every morning!
