Sitting here in the library for the 5,424,567 minute of this trip, I suddenly had the urge for the most mouthwatering, moist, big, icing filled cupcake. Sprinkles cupcakes may be the most delicious treat you may ever put in your mouth. I discovered these delectable treats not too long ago on a trip to California. Sprinkles is the world's first cupcake bakery located in Beverly Hills, CA and opened in 2005. Started by Candace Nelson, and inspired by her grandmother's French culinary roots, she has created a pure, delicious, and simple treat that not only looks wonderful, but also tastes fantastic. Each season there's a new cupcake flavor made with the freshest and richest ingredients, and this summer its a sweet raspberry cupcake. With over 32 flavors including lemon, pumpkin, vanilla, cinnamon sugar, strawberry, chocolate peanut butter, banana, carrot, chai tea, and the infamous red velvet, anyone is bound to find a cupcake they'll love! They are so gooey and sweet, you truly cannot resist. You can order online or by phone, but a Sprinkles store is coming to Atlanta soon! However, if you just can't wait to try one of these heavenly treats, they sell the mixes at William Sonoma! If you haven't tried one, you are missing out and I highly suggest you get on that as soon as we get back!
This is one of my favorite blogs because I too share the love of cupcakes. I feel like ever since we have been here at Oxford we have taken full advantage of the cookie stores, ice cream shops, and other sweet treats. It may just be because we feel like we are somewhat on a "vacation" because we are in a different country or it may be because it is a great way to de-stress from all of our work. Either way, it seems that the dessert scene here is Oxford is quite popular and I will definitely miss that back home!!
